This Spring we will be engaging in a visioning and planning process. The church has changed a lot in the past seven years. We have accomplished a lot. We have many new members. It is time to take stock of who we are and where God is calling us in the next several years.

The process will involve conversations with individuals, groups, and with the whole congregation and follow-up work by the vestry as we set clear measurable and achievable goals. But first, we will be conducting an important survey recommended by our diocese.

This survey is called the Church Assessment Tool (CAT), an on-line instrument that will help leaders gauge the strength, vitality, and trends in our church. The information gained from this assessment will be valuable in helping us as we make decisions about the future of St. Philip’s.

This survey is one of the tools offered by Holy Cow Consulting. You can learn more about the CAT at their website.

On Sunday, March 17 Fr. Eric led a forum after the 10 am service to talk about this process and the CAT. You can download the slides here.

At the end of March you will receive an email with a link to the CAT. It will also be published in the E-pistle. Beginning April 1, we are asking you to go online by clicking on the link provided and tell us about your experiences in and priorities for our church. Please do not discuss the survey or your answers with others as this may influence their answers.

If you need a paper copy, please come to the office, and we will provide one for you along with a self-addressed stamped return envelope.

All answers are strictly anonymous. We have no way of matching any assessment to a particular person, so please feel free to candidly share your perceptions, opinions and experiences. Our future together is dependent on your participation and honest answers.

If you have questions, please contact our Senior Warden, Deb Refior, at drefior01@gmail.com or Fr. Eric at ericw@stpfeeds.org.
